About Joan
After retirement, Joan rediscovered her interest in drawing and painting and enrolled in lifelong learning classes. The spontaneity
and intensity of watercolor and the ability to describe the magnificence of any landscape on a two-dimensional surface took her breath away. Joan has a painting on display, currently, in the Rehoboth Art League Member's Fine Arts Exhibition, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. She has also been
selected to show her work in the RAL's 2025 Solo Exhibition opening on the 22nd of August. Her paintings have been on display in many
National and International Exhibitions, and she was selected as one of sixty artists to
exhibit in the Colorado Governor’s Art Show for three consecutive years. She has been represented at galleries in Denver and Colorado Springs and is a signature
member of several watercolor societies, including the Delaware Watercolor Society, Colorado Watercolor Society, Baltimore Watercolor Society, and the Pikes
Peak Watercolor Society. Since moving to Delaware and joining the Delaware Watercolor Society in 2022, her paintings have won awards in several of the DWS
local exhibits. Joan still uses her software experience designing and developing webpages.
Joan, a California native, and a graduate of Humboldt State University,
Arcata, California, focused her education on Computer Science and spent most of her career working on Government Contracts at
Peterson Air force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
